With a salute to the nearby neighbourhood of Tribeca and its famous annual festival the hotel also features a 99-seat cinema Cosy cushions provide a place to relax by the floor-to-ceiling windows in the colourful, bright rooms. Design is playful and rooms are filled with sunlight. The high floors have windows with views over the rooftops of SoHo, and those rooms are particularly special for this reason. Luxurious bathrooms in marble and granite have glass walk-in showers--upgrade for a deep soaking tub. Seriously, this place is relaxing. The Meadow Suite has a private terrace for guests seeking outdoor space. Whilst the hotel does not feature a destination restaurant this is totally understandable as the culinary draw lies in the neighbourhood. Beat the crowds to Balthazar (2-minute walk). This French brasserie is popular all-day long, and is a place to rub elbows with New Yorkers over an early morning coffee and pastry. Pizzas, meat, and fish are all prepared in a wood-fired oven at Pasquale Jones (4-minute walk), an Italian restaurant that has earned a reputation for its wine list. For an affordable meal in an often expensive neighborhood, order a range of tacos at Tacombi Fonda Nolita (6-minute walk).
