This handsome conversion of an 18th-century warehouse combines original features (huge wooden timbers and thick brick walls) with cool new styling courtesy of one of Denmark’s top design studios. It has a great location, right on the waterfront, and there’s excellent Danish food in the in-house restaurant, SALT.The hotel faces the Opera House, is next to next to Amalienborg Royal Palace and the quays of Nyhavn are literally a short stroll away. In appreciation of its maritime roots the common spaces display many model ships and there are canons on either side of the entrance. Skovshoved Hotel is a historic seaside hotel, selected by the travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller as one of the worlds most hip hotels.
