This handsome conversion of an 18th-century warehouse combines original features (huge wooden timbers and thick brick walls) with cool new styling courtesy of one of Denmark’s top design studios. It has a great location, right on the waterfront, and there’s excellent Danish food in the in-house restaurant, SALT.The hotel faces the Opera House, is next to next to Amalienborg Royal Palace and the quays of Nyhavn are literally a short stroll away. In appreciation of its maritime roots the common spaces display many model ships and there are canons on either side of the entrance. Skovshoved Hotel is a historic seaside hotel, selected by the travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller as one of the worlds most hip hotels. It is a family owned boutique hotel with just 22 rooms close by the forest, the beach, and the ocean, but still only 7 kilometres away from Copenhagen’s pulsating city life. At the little seaside hotel you will get the feeling of being far away and still close to it all. This then would be the perfect choice for those that want to see Copenhagen but are also looking for a taste of the Danish countryside. One of the city’s early 20th century landmark buildings, the Central Post & Telegraph Head Office, has re-opened as a spectacular 5-star hotel. Villa Copenhagen is a unique and stunning lodging experience in the heart of the city. Originally opened in 1912, the hotel's gorgeous historic accents blend beautifully with contemporary Nordic designs and interior accents. Some of the key features of the 390-room masterpiece include the airy space of the eye-catching glass roofed central courtyard, an outdoor heated pool and an extensive rooftop garden, one of the few urban green spaces in Copenhagen. Seriously Industrial Chic credentials identifyThe Socialist as one of the city’s modernist marvels. Its stark appearance between historic townhouses in the heart of the city remind us that it was once a transformer station built in 1963. It still retains many original elements from its former incarnation, such as the dark bronze slats on the façade and giant green iron doors and exposed raw concrete walls inside. The industrial style of the public areas is softened in the bedrooms, with deep-pile carpets, soft fabrics and the sleek, chic style you'd expect from a Danish design hotel. In a bid for sustainability all power in the hotel is wind-generated. Villa Copenhagen The Socialist Copenhagen Admiral Hotel Skovshoved Hotel
